Yeastar Click to Call Overview

Yeastar Click to Call extension for Chrome allows you to place calls from web pages via Linkus Desktop Client with a simple click.

 Features

  • Automatically detect phone numbers on web pages and convert phone numbers into clickable links. A hideable call icon will also be displayed to make phone numbers more prominent.
  • Customize the length of phone numbers that will be detected. By default, a 7-15 digit will be detected as a phone number.
  • Enable or disable the detection of phone numbers.
  • Blacklist some websites to prevent the extension from detecting phone numbers.

 

Install Yeastar Click to Call

Install Yeastar Click to Call extension on Google Chrome.

  1. On your computer, open Chrome Web Store.
  2. In the search bar, search Yeastar Click to Call.
  3. On the right of the extension, click Add to Chrome.

    A dialog pops up and shows what permissions Yeastar Click to Call needs.

  4. To allow Yeastar Click to Call to get permissions, click Add extension.

    After the extension is installed, the Yeastar icon  displays on the right of the address bar.

    : The extension does not detect phone numbers on the current page.

    : The extension can detect phone numbers on the current page.

    Note: If you find the extension fail to detect phone numbers, you should check if you’ve disabled it.
  5. Optional: For Windows 10, set Linkus as the default app for placing calls.
    1. In the Windows Search Bar, enter default apps.
    2. In the search result, click Default Apps.
    3. Scroll down and click Choose default apps by protocol.
    4. Scroll down and find TEL, click Choose a default right beside the TEL protocol, and select Linkus.
      Note: If the TEL protocol already has an App assigned, click it and select Linkus.

     

 

Customize Yeastar Click to Call

Configure the Yeastar Click to Call extension to meet your needs, such as disable call icon display, change the identification rules of phone numbers, and block the extension on specific websites.

  1. On your computer, open Google Chrome.
  2. On the right of address bar, click  > Options.
  3. On the Basic section, edit basic settings of the extension.
    • Enable Yeastar Click to Call: Enable or disable the extension.
      Note: After disabling Yeastar Click to Call, the extension doesn’t work, but the extension icon still displays on the Chrome tool bar.
    • Call Icon Display: Whether to display the  on the right of each detected phone number.
    • Phone Number Length (2 to 20): Set the length of phone numbers which can be detected.
      • Minimum: The minimum length of phone number which can be detected. The default value is 7.
      • Maximum: The maximum length of phone number which can be detected. The default value is 15.
  4. On the Website Blacklist section, click +Add to add a domain to the blacklist. The extension will not detect phone numbers on the blacklisted website.

 

Click to Call from Web Pages

The Yeastar Click to Call extension automatically detects phone numbers on web pages and works with the Linkus Desktop Client.

To click to call from web pages, you need to install Linkus client on your PC and make sure your Linkus meets the following requirements.

  • Your Linkus App is updated.
    • Linkus for Windows Desktop: Version 1.8.11 or later.
    • Linkus for Mac Desktop: Version 1.8.9 or later.
  • You’ve logged in Linkus.
  • Your Linkus has permission to make outbound calls.
  1. Click the detected phone number that you want to dial.

  2. In the dialog box, click Linkus. The call will be placed by Linkus Desktop Client.
    Note: The phone number is automatically filtered (only numbers and “+” are kept) and pasted on Linkus Dialpad before calling out.

 

Manage Yeastar Click to Call

After installing the Yeastar Click to Call extension, you can set the site access of the extension, turn on or turn off the extension, upgrade the extension, or uninstall the extension.

Turn on/off Yeastar Click to Call extension

  1. On your computer, open Google Chrome.
  2. On the top right, click  > More tools > Extensions.
  3. Find Yeastar Click to Call, turn on or turn off the extension.

Site access of Yeastar Click to Call extension

  1. On your computer, open Google Chrome.
  2. On the right of address bar, right click the extension icon .
  3. Hover your mouse over This can read and change site data, and decide which permission to give the extension.
    • When you click the extension: Turn on the extension only when you click it. This only allows the extension to access the current site in the open tab or window.
      Note: If you close the tab or window, you have to click the extension to turn it on again.
    • On {current_site}: Allow the extension to automatically read and change data on the current site.
    • On all sites: Allow the extension to automatically read and change data on all sites.

Upgrade Yeastar Click to Call extension

The Google Chrome periodically checks for updates and automatically upgrades the Yeastar Click to Call extension.

Uninstall Yeastar Click to Call extension

  1. On your computer, open Google Chrome.
  2. On the top right, click  > More tools > Extensions.
  3. Find Yeastar Click to Call, and click Remove.
  4. On the pop-up window, click Remove to confirm.

 

Yeastar Click to Call – FAQ

  1. What if I don’t want to use the extension on a specific website?
    1. On your computer, open Google Chrome.
    2. On the right of address bar, click  > Options.
    3. On the pop-up window, go to Website Blacklist.
    4. Click +Add and enter the domain of the specific website.
    5. Click Save.
  2. Why doesn’t the extension automatically start calling when I click on a phone number?
    • Check if Dial out immediately is enabled on Linkus.
    • If your PC is Windows 10, check if Linkus is the default App for TEL protocol.
